Product Engineering Internships

8minute Solar Energy is the largest privately-held developer of solar and storage projects in the United States. We are seeking the best and brightest people to help make clean energy abundant. Through our paid 8-week rotational internship program, students will have the opportunity to be exposed to various aspects of the development cycle by working within each of our functional groups. Interns of our program will be provided guidance and mentorship from members of our exceptional staff to help ensure success during the duration of the internship. We are seeking students who bring a sense of curiosity, exhibit leadership abilities based on their current involvements on campus and have a strong interest in the renewable energy field. Essential Function and Responsibilities: - Summer 2020 interns will spend the first 2 weeks of the program receiving an introduction to 8minute and each part of the organization along with the basics of solar development together as a cohort - Interns will be partnered with a team member from one of our functional groups (Development, Engineering or Finance) who will act as a mentor and be tasked to complete a project - After completion of projects and rotations, interns will provide a culminating presentation to be virtually presented summarizing their experience

What you'll be doing: - As an intern in Product Engineering, you will learn the overall product cycle from tapeout to mass production - Drive an Automatic Tester Equipment and contribute to debugging silicon failures for improved product yield - Use python and statistical programs to automate silicon characterization data analysis - Gain hands on experience in product qualification efforts

As an Intern 3DXP Product Engineer at Micron Technology Inc., you will assist in the development of new generations of 3DXP memory as it transitions from the design stage to mass production. Product Engineers are the key interface between Research and Development, Manufacturing, Marketing, and Quality Assurance departments. Our goal to offer hands-on meaningful engineering projects and work that allows the intern to gain hands on experience with memory systems and the product life cycle while adding impact to Micron’s business. Our intern programs help prepare engineers for future roles and offer a great experience that supplements your academic experience. Your job duties will include wafer and component level circuit debug, device characterization for improved operation and testability, and detailed 3DXP analysis to improve end-user performance and reliability. Other responsibilities include circuit simulation, failure analysis, assistance with both internal qualification and customer implementation, yield optimization, and Test program development at wafer, component, and module steps. The Product Engineering role is essential to Micron as it serves the company's charter to be the most efficient producer of 3DXP memory.
