Job Description
Open Water is looking for ambitious and open-minded Product Managers to join our team. You will be responsible for owning the development and delivery of new products by conducting market research, creating product timeframes, and crafting marketing strategies. You are expected to work closely with engineering and design team members to ensure the product supports the company’s overall strategy and goals. Ultimately, you will play a key role in the successful launch of Open Water portfolio companies.
Responsibilities:
- Familiarize yourself with the product line's components and its potential impact on the market as a whole
- Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth
- Oversee the product line's life cycle and anticipate any problems
- Evaluate market competition and position the product line so that it appeals to consumers
- Evaluate promotional plans to ensure that they are consistent with product line strategy and that the message is effectively conveyed
- Run beta and pilot programs with early-stage products and samples
Qualifications
- Proven work experience in product management
- Experience working directly with designers to design and iterate on products
- Knowledge of consumer marketing analytics
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Interpersonal skills with a keen ability to explain complex concepts across the organization and to large audiences
