Job Description
Brown University Mahjong Club is looking to use technology to make the game of mahjong more accessible to the Brown community and beyond. We are looking for individuals with a passion for mahjong, computer science, and UI/UX design to join Brown University Mahjong Club as summer software engineers to create a digital platform where individuals can engage in live mahjong gameplay with others. We hope to use this software to host remote club meetings and online collegiate-level mahjong tournaments in the future. This position will be remote and unpaid. Work time and hours/week are flexible, however, we hope to finish the online multiplayer game platform by the end of the program.

Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- A passion for mahjong, computer science, and UI/UX design
- Knowledge of mahjong rules and gameplay (any style)
- Knowledge of programming languages suitable for creating an online multi-player game
- Knowledge or willingness to learn server configuration
- Prior experience in computer science-related opportunities and design is a plus
- Interest in web design is also a plus
