Front End Development Intern (Remote)

Job Description

Open Water is looking for ambitious and open-minded Frontend Engineers to join our team. You will be working closely with UI/UX designers and be responsible for bridging the gap between graphical design and technical implementation. We expect you to design a framework that grows with the needs of the company and create innovative solutions to enhance visual appearance and usability. Ultimately, you will play a key role in the successful launch of Open Water businesses.

Responsibilities:
- Review prototypes, mockups, and staging sites to ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
- Optimize websites and applications for maximum speed and scalability
- Identify and troubleshoot various technical and graphical issues
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
- Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end

Qualifications

- Familiar with or exposed to React/React Native, JSON, AJAX or Bootstrap
- Solid grasp of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and various content management systems
- Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
- Developed front-end skills and some basic understanding of how back-end development works
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with designers, developers, and other relevant staff members or clients
- Flexibility to adapt to changing instructions and requirements
