Title: Reflect Summer Fellow
Annual Salary: $1,000 for a seven-week commitment

About Reflect: The Reflect Organization (Reflect) is a national mental wellness nonprofit organization founded at the University of Pennsylvania, serving hundreds of thousands of college students nationwide, with partners such as Ivy League institutions and the NCAA, endorsed by the JED Foundation as one of just three recommended peer-to-peer mental wellness organizations in the United States.

Job Description: Reflect is looking for mission-aligned Fellows with a strong passion for fostering welcoming and authentic college experiences. Each Fellow must possess a deep interest in supporting the implementation of student mental wellness programs in the college setting. Additionally, the Fellow is expected to be a firm advocate of Reflect’s core values of authenticity, allyship, self-love, and student empowerment.
The Reflect Summer Fellows will be provided a $1,000 stipend for their seven-week commitment to Reflect’s mission. The Fellowship is scheduled to begin on June 20th and end on August 5th. While it is expected that the Fellow contributes to Reflect for 20-35 hours per week, with the stipend adjusted accordingly, a schedule tailored to the needs of the Fellow may be granted.
Reflect is dedicated to cultivating a formative experience for each Fellow. As such, the Fellow will engage in Reflect’s wellness curriculum and will encounter various networking opportunities with speakers and sponsors. While you work for us, we work for you!
Each Fellow’s efforts will impact the future of Reflect. The Fellow’s commitment to and engagement with Reflect’s mission will be evident in Reflect’s headway.

Position Responsibilities (tailored to the interests of each respective Fellow but may include the following):
Program Expansion*: Work with colleges and universities across the country to launch Reflect’s programs
Graphic Design/Social Media Development*: Gain experience in social media graphic design, assist in the development of various infographics about Reflect’s programs
Event Promotion/Marketing*: Help raise awareness about the numerous events that Reflect is hosting and/or taking part in
Data Analysis*: Obtain hands-on experience with data collection and evaluation using programs such as Python
Participation in and Contribution to Wellness Curriculum: The wellness curriculum is highly interactive and thus entails significant participation and reflection.
These are only a few of the potential responsibilities. We are open to working with the Fellow to assign appropriate projects that align with their interests and personal and professional aspirations.
*Superior skill in any of these fields is not necessary for the position of Reflect Summer Fellow. However, candidates with such expertise will be eligible to work on projects requiring this skillset.

The Wellness Curriculum will enhance critical thinking and personal reflection skills, while the professional opportunities that this position offers will enhance organizational, communication, and networking skills. The Fellow will be able to apply these acquired skills to their own lives and their own college communities. The Fellow will form meaningful relationships with other Fellows and members of the Reflect staff through personal and professional collaboration.
The Fellows will: become certified QPR Suicide Prevention Gatekeepers; network with and learn from experts in business, entrepreneurship, and mental health; create lasting connections with students in their cohort; learn how nonprofit organizations work and how one individual can impact many; receive trainings they can use to support themselves and their school communities; and work with intelligent and passionate individuals who are dedicated to service
