Job Description
Common Good is a nonpartisan reform coalition that believes individual responsibility, not mindless bureaucracy, must be the organizing principle of government. We present practical proposals to restore the ability of officials and citizens alike to use common sense in daily decisions, and then be held accountable. We will soon launch a Campaign for Common Sense to inject these ideas into the 2020 election.
We are looking for motivated interns to assist with a research project cataloging the failures of American bureaucracy. Interns will collect data, research materials, and first hand accounts of the paralyzing effect of red tape and paperwork burdens on teachers, healthcare workers, and other front-line public officials, and produce memoranda and social media content with their findings. Interns may also be asked to assist with larger-scale research projects.
Duration: Approximately 20+ hours a week for ten weeks, starting in June
Compensation: $15/hour
