Job Description
Founded a century ago by Andrew Carnegie, the CCEIA aims to inspire and guide debate, as well as to educate the public on ethical choices in matters related to global affairs.
We are seeking to bring aboard a small cohort of researchers who are natural team players to creatively conceive projects from start to finish. These researchers will interact with senior staff on top of many other opportunities to network and build professional connections. This is a unique opportunity to work collaboratively across the organization by conducting research for the president's office, undertaking program activities, or writing preliminary grant proposals.
Research Assistant -
-Research leading experts for President's interviews, weekly lunch talks, article quotes, and speaking engagements relating to Carnegie Council's upcoming impact initiatives;
-Create a reading list of trending articles on topic issue for President's weekly discussion. Topics of research can include technology, artificial intelligence, climate change, migration, and geoengineering;
-Provide research for op-ed articles on the importance of ethics in political leadership and other subjects relating to the Council's mission;
Qualifications
- Current student or recent graduate
- Can attend virtual meetings and respond to correspondences in a timely manner
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
- High level of interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity
- Diplomatic
- Willing to give and receive constructive criticism
- Comfortable working with online platforms such as Office 365 (including Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive)
- Prior non-profit experience preferred but not required
