Morning Brew is looking for an intern to join our content team.
Just so we’re clear we’re not a coffee company.
Morning Brew is a New York City-based media company that’s disrupting the traditional business news landscape. Our goal is to make the business world more engaging for the modern business leader through relatable and digestible content. Plus, we’ve got some other cool stuff in the works.
Right now, we’re creating content for four different franchises.
- Our core e-mail newsletter gives 2 million subscribers all the business news they need in five minutes.
- Emerging Tech Brew keeps over 185,000 readers up-to-date on the technological advancements that are changing the world of business.
- Retail Brew delivers the most important retail business news to over 120,000 industry professionals.
- And Morning Brew’s Business Casual podcast has over 2M streams to date and has featured guests such as Ray Dalio, Meg Whitman, Kara Swisher, and The Fat Jewish
Here’s what you will be working on:
The Morning Brew daily newsletter intern will have the opportunity to work alongside a core team of writers and editors who manage our daily newsletter, which reaches over 2M people everyday.
Your responsibilities will include the following:
-Editorial analysis: review newsletter and content performance with an editorial lens, conducting analysis and making recommendations for future ideas.
-Content research: conduct research for existing content ideas and input into new story ideas.
-Writing: contribute to the ideation and execution process for content creation, including articles and social media.
The internship program will run from June 8th to September 4th, 2020.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
-A graduate or undergraduate intern (if latter, then must have completed at least 3 years of schooling).
-Must either be studying journalism or have published work.
-Voracious reader and lover of the news, with a specific understanding of business news.
-Excitement for both content creation as well as digital innovation in journalism.
-Creative and strategic thinker.
