Software Engineer Intern

Job Description

Talklet is a startup aiming to make mental healthcare accessible. We offer affordable, short, and informal consultations over our web-app for individuals who face stressors but don’t require traditional therapy.
We are about to conduct our beta testing and are looking for interns with tech experience and an interest in learning more about telehealth and startup operations.

Some of the projects you will be doing:
* Create design and implementation options
* Modeling, server-side APIs, and front-end user interfaces
* Managing and operating AWS cloud services at scale
* Support of customer-facing technology solutions

Time commitment/week: 5-10 hours
Compensation: As a startup, we will compensate you in other means. Pay is negotiable.

Qualifications

Basic:
* Strong foundation of React.js
* Familiarity with JavaScript, CSS, HTML5
* Experience with common front-end development tools such as YARN, NPM, etc.(Webpack is a plus)
* Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements

Preferred:
* Proficient with Node.JS and express application design and development
* Experience with Redux
* Familiarity with RESTful APIs & MongoDB / DocumentDB database
* AWS experience
